8 Festive Red, White, and Blue Shots for July 4th
Layered Red White and Blue Shooters
To start us off, we have a gorgeous layered shooter that only requires 3 ingredients: grenadine, Kinky Blue Liqueur, and coconut rum.
The secret to getting the gorgeous layered effect is using a syringe to slowly add each layer. So it's a little time consuming, but totally worth it!
Red White and Blue Shots with Crown Peach
This is a more decadent take on a July 4th shot that looks beyond tasty. To make it, slowly pour grenadine into a shot glass, followed by a mixture of Crown Royal Peach Whisky and Half & Half, and then top it off with blue curacao (like DeKuyper Blue Curacao Liqueur).
Add some whipped cream and red, white & blue sprinkles on top for a delicious, boozy July 4th treat!
Stars and Stripes Shot
This shot is similar to the one above, but a little bit lighter. It's a popular recipe that uses equal parts peach schnapps, grenadine, and Blue Curacao.
So it's still candy in a cup, but a little less dessert-y!
Bubbly Red White and Blue Shot
This shot is bubbly, sweet, and fruity all at once! The red layer is pomegranate juice, the blue is club soda with blue food coloring, and the white is Pinnacle Whipped Vodka.
Top it all off with whipped cream and enjoy!
Star-Shaped Red White and Blue Jello Shots
The only thing better than a normal shot is without a doubt a jello shot!
This one doesn't even require shot glasses -- you can pick them up and eat them with your hands. And the star shape is so cute and clever!
To make them, you create a mosaic of red, white, and blue jello that's spiked with vodka, and then cut it into star shapes once the jello is firm. So even though it looks a little complicated, it's actually pretty easy to throw together!
Patriotic Strawberry Jello Shots
Here's another unique take on a July 4th jello shot that doesn't require shot glasses! I love the idea of using strawberries as an edible shot glass, and these would be much lighter than your typical jello shot.
The main ingredients are strawberries, blue berry jello, plain gelatin, milk, and vodka. These should probably come with a warning since they're so small that it'd be easy to eat all of them in one sitting!
Cherry On Top July 4th Jello Shots
If you want a classic jello shot in a glass, this is one is absolutely perfect! The red and blue jello layers are infused with vodka, and the white layer is sweetened condensed milk.
My favorite part of this shot is the maraschino cherry on top, which adds an extra festive, tasty flair!
Firecracker Jello Shots
Pop Rocks are such a nostalgic candy for us 90s kids, and this recipe is beyond clever. It's made with plain, pineapple, and cake vodka along with strawberry jello and blue raspberry jello. So it's super boozy, fruity, and delicious!
The real star of this shot though is the Pop Rocks sprinkled on top, which will make it feel like fireworks are going off in your mouth!
And that’s a wrap! Which of these are you going to make for your July 4th celebration? I’m personally going to whip up a batch of the firecracker jello shots because I LOVE pop rocks and they just sound so fun, but they all look fabulous.
